Idol Thoughts
Kris Allen? Well we certainly weren't expecting that. I know game shows are subject to a lot of practice and standards rules to keep the show honest. But, is American Idol a game show? Is it subject to the same rules that were enacted after the game show scandals of early television? I'm not sure they are. They never talk about an accounting firm which keeps the votes a secret and verifies them like the Academy Award votes.

It makes me wonder if American Idol is obligated to correctly announce the voting results or make up a result that would make a better ending? This year's finale was a little suspicious for me. The person everyone called the one to beat after the second week, loses. That seems to be the perfect ending for a show that wants viewers for another season. If the obvious person wins, why even watch the last few weeks. But if anything can happen and even a "dark horse" can win, well that is a reason to watch.

As you were,
Jay

You can vote as many times as you want, no limit. How fair is that?
