I suppose commenting on your NO BLOG TODAY day is the best thing to do after catching up and reading 10 of your blogs in a row.
I have been thoroughly enjoying (though I'm sure it's not a word you would use since these are events you are living with from day to day) your views on Art VS Commerce, a subject my wife and I have been discussing recently as we've been taking in via netflix the Canadian series SLINGS AND ARROWS, which also mulls over this subject.
I'm a children's performer and a lover of theater, and I do indeed believe there's something to be said for the live performance. While I've not seen THE TWO AND ONLY (not for want of trying....I'm dying to see it), I know a strict filming of the show would probably rip it's proverbial heart out.
But, things can be done creatively to bring it to life on film. I'm no Howard Stern lover, but can easily recognize that his book was brought successfully to the screen with the right directorial vision and screenwriting.
As always, I'm intrigued by your thoughts and views on the world, and keep my fingers crossed for you. Hopefully I'll be able to see THE TWO AND ONLY in some form.
