Well, my dressing room is empty now. All the stuff is in boxes and it will be send home tomorrow. They will also take the set down tomorrow. I guess it goes to Dallas to start the tour. I am calling it the Magical Mystery Tour because I don’t know anything about it yet. Believe it or not I am usually the last to know anything that involves this show.

I will be doing the opening number of the “Gypsy of the Year” show next week before I head home. This is a show put on by the Broadway community of actors and dancers for Broadway Cares, a charitable organization that raises money for show biz related needs. I am doing a production number with Bob. I haven’t done that since my Six Flags days. Actually it is a lot more fun than I thought it would be. I am continually amazed at the talent, professionalism and artistry of dancers. I am always reminded of why I married one. This will be one of the highlights of my Broadway stay and a good way to kiss the city good bye. Perhaps the closest I will ever get to being the guest star on a variety show.

As you were,
Jay

No, don't call it a sendoff!

Call it a leave of absence, please.

So good to talk yesterday. You are about to:
    "GIVE YOUR REGARDS TO BROADWAY."
What a great way to give back for all the fantastic experiences you have had and we have read about in this wonderful "blog."
Don't forget...January 8-13, 2007...that's for you, me and the guys. Will talk early next week.
    Carry on,

    Dear Jay,

This is Bobby and Robyn. Ever since we saw your show, we've been keeping up with the blog. We are extremely saddened to see the Broadway part of the show come to a close, but are glad that the show will continue on tour. Your show was the hightlight of our trip to NY. In fact, the next two nights we saw "Wicked" and "Spamalot" and I have to tell you, those shows didn't even come close to entertaining us as your show did. You had us in tears and then laughing hysterically.

And thank you and Lori for mentioning our visit in your blog. It was an honor to meet you, Paul, Murphy, and Lori and to be a part of your show. We called Mona and Hoppy and told them all about our visit and how the "gimme cap" made the show. Oh, and by the way, it wasn't Mike with Horton that day with the big box kite, but a guy named James Blalock, if you remember him.

If you are coming to Dallas, please give us the dates as soon as you know and we'll get the whole Struve clan down from Lubbock/Abernathy as well as other parts of Texas. Perhaps even Minnie could come down. But for sure the Mayor and his wife will be part of the festivities. And I know you have family and friends in the area, but we'll be happy to take everyone around and show you our favorite places to eat, etc.

Looking forward to seeing you. Take care and God Bless.

    Bobby and Robyn
